BEREKUM-NSAPOR M/A JHS STUDENTS CRY FOR RE-ROOFING OF SCHOOL

BEREKUM-NSAPOR M/A JHS  STUDENTS CRY FOR RE-ROOFING OF SCHOOL BLOCK.

The roofing of Nsapor M/A JHS in the Berekum West District of the Bono Region was ripped off by a heavy thunder storm over two and half years ago. This has compelled the school authorities to accommodate JHS students in a kindergarten classroom. The school which was constructed in 2nd October, 1962 has suffered a third time of this kind of natural disaster.
The students, who are crying for reroofing of the school building complains of poor ventilation as the room gets hot in the afternoon due to congestion.
According to them, authorities from both regional and district offices have visited and accessed the situation but no renovation work has been done and all efforts to have the building renovated has proofen futile and the JHS blocks still remains unroofed.
A visit to the school by Yesnewsworld.com and Alrich24newsgh.com team revealed that, teaching staff in the school have no office and therefore sit under trees in preparations for classes and lesson notes. The situation becomes worse whenever it rains during school hours.
The teachers vehemently said that, education which is seen as a bedrock in every society has been thrown out in the Nsapor township due to lack of educational facilities.

The students and teachers therefore appealed to the Berekum West DCE, Hon. Isaac Osei and the MP Hon. Kwaku Agyenim Boateng as well as the traditional authorities in Berekum to come to their aid else they are struggling in the school to overcome the plight they are going through.

They requested for a new school building where they can have enough classrooms for the students, staff common room and ICT laboratory to enhance teaching and learning in the Nsapor community.
